The Basic Components of a Filter

You need to know the basic components of a filter if you want to customize or create a filter.

• To create a new import filter: From the Edit menu, select Import Filters and select New Filter. If you are interested in creating a new filter, also read Creating a New Filter.

• To edit a filter: From the Edit menu, select Import Filters, and then select Open Filter Manager. Select the filter to edit and click Edit. The most recently used filter can also be easily edited by selecting Import Filters from the Edit menu, and selecting Edit <filter>.
